The final event of the project - National Student Scientific Conference “The Voice of Youth - Energy for Europe” - gathered in the Hall of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridsk” students and young researchers in European Studies, who have contributed to the implementation of the project as well as students’ teams from secondary schools with their mentors, awarded within the National Competition “Europe is my home – let’s keep it clean and green”. The „Antoine de Saint Exupéry” class were hosting the event.
The forum was attended by more than 120 participants. It fostered the exchange of ideas and experience, critical thinking, abilities to debate about EU and its future among young people. It created a great opportunity for students to practice presenting their research to a group of peers and an added value to the opening of the University the secondary education.

Prof. Ingrid Shikova: Active citizens can be created at school
The golden rule of civic consciousness is that there is no freedom without responsibility. The school must be involved in the process of its construction. This was stated in an interview with the Bulgarian News Agency BGNES by Prof. Ingrid Shikova – coordinator of the project “Hub Europe - a new approach to teaching and learning the European Union at school”, funded by the Erasmus + program - Jean Monnet initiative. She presented the project – its goals and results as well as and the latest publication "Europe at school - for imaginative teachers".

A round table on " EU topics in Civic Education: Looking back, looking forward" was held in Pleven in the period 18 - 19 March 2022. It was attended by students and teachers of four Pleven schools: Profiled High School with foreign language teaching languages "Dimitar Dimov", State Financial and Economic High School "Intellect", Vocational High School of Tourism "Aleko Konstantinov" and Primary School "Valeri Petrov", students at the Faculty of Economics of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" - graduates of the State Financial and Economic High School - and young people from the European Volunteer Solidarity Corps from Austria, Slovakia and France.

The book EUROPE AT SCHOOL - for teachers with imagination is the outcome of the Erasmus+ project "Hub Europe" - New Approach to Teaching and Learning EU at School". It attempts to answer questions: How to provoke authentic curiosity in young people upon topics that are often being described as boring and uninteresting? How to link the worldview with an emotional experience to unlock the doors of knowledge? How to set young minds to creativity? Is it possible in the information age to make teaching and studying the themes of European unification interesting and enriching? How do we look at what is happening around us from a different angle?
The book is intended for teachers, leaders of European school clubs, teachers - senior ambassadors in schools - ambassadors of the European Parliament and for all educators who work with young people, to expand knowledge about the European Union, to form their skills and attitudes active citizens.
This publication is dedicated to all teachers with imagination who are willing to put aside routine and choose to experiment.
