Abstract

Teaching European Union topics at school requires not only updating of the content, but also changing the approach and application of so-called 'innovative' teaching and learning methods appropriate for the 21st century. Here we will try to look at the application of active learning, its innovative methods and pedagogical techniques in the field of teaching and learning European integration at school with a focus on simulation games that put students in a real practical situation.
