Abstract

This case is about French farmers who sabotaged imported agricultural products, such as Spanish strawberries and French authorities who turned a blind eye. The European Commission brought the French authorities to the Court for ‘failing to take all necessary and proportionate measures’ to prevent the obstructions to trade by the farmers.
